Engineer II (11/1997 – 04/2000)
· Developed Windows UI screens and dialogs with messaging to/from the UNIX host (MIS engine) using MS Visual C++ V5.0 MFC development environment. Made modifications to UNIX code as needed to facilitate the UI integration.
· Managed a group of 4 developing 80+ Crystal Reports templates to replace existing UNIX based ACD MIS reports. Also wrote a Windows DLL for Crystal Reports using MS Visual C++ V5.0 to provide custom functions and operations required by the report templates.
· Evaluated and resolved UNIX and Windows product bugs during product development and for product Maintenance releases.
· Developed in-house media duplication and verification program for the SQA and Operations departments.
Software Engineer I (01/1991 - 11/1997)
· Developed LAN TCP/IP Client/Server connectivity using sockets for remote connection between DOS clients (Real-Time/Report terminals) and the UNIX server (MIS engine) for the VU-ACD/100 product.
· Developed Fax and Data report transmission routines using Fax Class 2 and Hayes command sets.
· Developed System Administration and Data Management user interface and routines for VU-ACD/100 UNIX host. This included data storage, retrieval to/from QIC/DAT media, data removal, system backup, system reboot and shutdown as well as other minor system administration utilities.
· Evaluated and resolved UNIX software bugs in cooperation with both internal and external development and support organizations.
· Evaluated and qualified peripheral equipment (LAN adapters, tape drives, modems) and implemented and documented configuration interface and routines as required for product features.
· Developed product installation and upgrade programs, including UNIX Operating System configuration and peripheral hardware configuration.
· Developed UNIX utilities to configure and automate the use of a multi-cartridge DAT Changer for unattended system backup.
· Administered the SCO UNIX/OpenServer software development environment and user accounts.
· Performed extensive Engineering level testing prior to product release to the Software Quality Assurance Organization.
· Provided engineering level support to the Technical Support organization as needed. Also, worked with Technical Support and Software Quality Assurance personnel on site for Alpha and Beta product installations.

· Provided on-site and telephone support to assist regional support personnel as well as end users in installation and maintenance of the VU-ACD/100 product.
